At The Trafalgar School at Downton, our students take part in many different careers events across all year groups at various points throughout the year. These events enrich the careers education that our students receive during their time here.

Year 11 Mock Interviews
Today, our Year 11 students took part in our Mock Interview event, giving them a valuable opportunity to prepare for the next stage of their journey beyond Trafalgar.
By meeting with professionals from the world of business, students were able to experience what a real-life job interview might feel like, practise their interview techniques and develop their confidence ahead of future sixth form and college interviews.
We are incredibly proud of how well our students conducted themselves throughout the event. They presented themselves brilliantly, speaking confidently and articulately while showcasing the fantastic skills, qualities and experiences they have developed both in and out of school.
A huge thank you to all the business volunteers from our local and regional community who gave up their time to support our students. Your involvement makes these opportunities possible and plays such an important role in helping our young people prepare for their futures.

Year 11 Post-16 Palooza
Today we hosted our Year 11 ‘Post-16 Palooza’! During the event our Year 11 students had the chance to meet further education providers from the local area in a “speed dating” style.
Students were able to ask questions, collect prospectuses and even hear from current students about their real-life experiences. A huge thank you to all of the further educational providers for talking to our students at this event!
