The Trafalgar School Association

The Trafalgar School at Downton is very lucky and proud to have an active, supportive and effective parent association (TSA).  It is one of the school’s strengths and one of which we are very proud.

The aim of the TSA is to develop effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school, and to engage in fund raising activities in order to provide facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the students. This is achieved and managed by our active and committed Chair and Committee members.  We are very grateful for the time and effort its members devote to the school and for the funds that they raise.

We are actively seeking, and would welcome, enthusiastic parents with fresh ideas to attend our informal meetings. We schoolcomms parents with upcoming meeting dates, which are all held locally to the school, in the early evening.  If you would like to know more about any aspect of our work or would like to get involved, please contact the TSA via the following email address: t.s.a@trafalgar.wilts.sch.uk. The TSA 100 Club gives parents, carers and friends of the school, the opportunity to support the TSA, and to win cash prizes in a monthly draw.  This costs just £12 per year, offers 2 monthly prizes of £30 and £20, and can be joined at any time throughout the year.  Half of the money raised is used for the students’ benefit, and the more members we have, the bigger the prizes!  

If anyone wishes to join the club or increase the number of numbers that they have in the draw, as there is no limit, an application form and a copy of the 100 Club rules can be downloaded by clicking on the links below.

Below is an example of some of the funding provided by the TSA to the school.  In the last academic year donations have amounted to over £14,000!

  • £860 – Honk! School Musical
  • £1,396 – Catering equipment for the Technology Department
  • £714 – Motivational speakers for assemblies, workshops and Presentation Evening
  • £40 – Maths Challenge Prizes
  • £1,309 – camera for Art Department
  • £180 – English Reading Challenge Prizes
  • £165 – Prizes for Public Speaking Competition
  • £1,200 – Wooden benches for the field

The TSA are registered with Easyfundraising, the online shopping facility which allows any of us to raise money for our school by the simple press of a button!

Easyfundraising is totally safe and is used by thousands of schools and charities in this country, raising millions of pounds.

All you need to do is click here to visit the Easyfundraising website to find out more about how it works and to register The Trafalgar School Association as your nominated charity.  It will not cost you any extra, but the companies who are registered make a donation for every purchase you make!
