Attendance

Excellent attendance is important for a number of reasons.

It has been proven that students with excellent attendance are:

  • more likely to achieve more GCSEs at a higher grade
  • be less likely to be involved with anti-social behaviour
  • are generally more settled within school

The school monitors every child’s attendance daily.  We are able to provide support or advice to any parent with regard to attendance.

Every school day counts towards your child’s future.  Days off school add up to lost learning.  In total there are 175 non-school days a year, which gives families the opportunity to:

  • spend time together
  • go on family visits
  • go on holiday
  • go shopping
  • go on days out
  • attend routine appointments

Our inspirational teachers can’t inspire you if you aren’t in school.

If your child is unwell and unable to attend school please phone 01725 550300 before 8.30am and follow the instructions to report a student absence.
